Sonata for Violin and Piano

The themes for this one-movement sonata were adapted through retrograde, inversion, and other processes from a famous piece of piano literature. I challenged myself in this piece to stick to a strict, traditional sonata-allegro form, which I have never written in before. I have always wanted to write a piece for my friend, Sydney Anderson, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Violin and Piano; ~10′
